Magical realism – a genre of novel that mixes our world with fantastic elements. Where does this term actually come from? And what kind of books are there in this fantasy subgenre?

17-year-old Bonnie has often been in love, and she keeps asking herself what her life would have been like if she had gotten together with her crushes. But unfortunately she doesn’t even dare to approach anyone because Bonnie is far too shy. She finds it easier to create a playlist for each unrequited love to remind herself of her feelings. But when she is suddenly thrown into an alternative world while listening to her songs and comes face to face with her first summer love, everything changes abruptly. And then there’s the mysterious Dee, who makes Bonnie’s heart beat faster.
